#Ukraine news, While Ukraine’s president Volodymir Zelenski is on a political tour of Europe, having alternatively visited the Netherlands, the Vatican, Italy and Germany, there’s some piece of good news back home with respect to Ukraine’s rising air-defense capabilities.Thank you for reading this post, don't forget to subscribe!
Kommersant, a Russian news outlet, has reported that two Russian fighter jets (one SU-34 Fighter and one SU-35 bomber) and two Mi-8 helicopters have been shot down, killing all crew members of board. This incident took place in the Bryansk region at the Ukrainian border with Russia.
This comes exactly at a time when the much awaited Ukrainian counter-offensive looms largely on the horizon. It also comes at a time when Ukraine has not only succeeded in shooting down 90% of Iranian-made Kamikaze drones fired at different Ukrainian cities by Russia, but also barely two weeks since Ukraine destroyed the dreaded Russian hypersonic missile using the US Patriot Missile Defense System.
The Russian fighter jets and helicopters which were shot simultaneously, were on an air raid mission to bomb the Chernov region of Ukraine.
TASS, the Russian State News Agency, however claimed that that it was aware that a Russian SU-34 bomber had crashed at the Bryansk region but did not give any further detail.
Meanwhile, Ukraine continues to make gains in Bahkmut after Russian forces led by the Wagner Group reportedly abandoned and fled their positions.
